Weddings at Trudder Lodge

The stunning surroundings of this estate make for a truly unique location for a wedding reception in southern Ireland.

You can enjoy the house and grounds in their entirety with your friends and family for three days. It is exclusively open only to you. This offers you complete privacy and individual attention. The house itself is ideal for smaller intimate bespoke weddings of between 30 and 60 guests, with dinner in the main rooms and after party in the courtyard marquee. Small intimate weddings allow you to spend more money on the things that are important – such as the food, entertainment and honeymoon. Feeding 150 guests costs a lot of money, why not have a smaller dinner party and a big hooley after!

Larger weddings are accommodated in the courtyard marquee that can comfortably seat up to 150 guests. The original stone walls and beams of the courtyard’s outbuildings are lit and those areas incorporated into the structure of the marque. Another stone built outbuilding, which would have originally served as a laundry room, has been integrated into the courtyard marquee and refashioned as a bar area. It is these characteristics, amongst others, that elicits the feeling of a courtyard wedding as distinct from a marquee wedding.
Less than one hour south of Dublin in Ireland, we are ideally situated for country weddings without the country mileage. Whether you choose a five course meal or a spit roast banquet, we can host any wedding party.

As we are not in the hotel business, we do not offer a simple wedding package; instead we have expertly chosen caterers, photographers and musicians that we highly recommend and love working with. Each wedding is as unique as you.
