Weddings at Smock Alley Theatre

The restored 17th-century Smock Alley Theatre has to be experienced to be understood and is the perfect place to celebrate your wedding. The stained-glass-windowed Banquet Hall is a spacious and ornate place along the banks of the Liffey.

The acoustics for music here are unparalleled and it’s fully licensed too, so you and your guests can wed and celebrate until 11pm. Dine on a candlelit banquet (think fresh fish, local cheeses and decadent desserts) with excellent wines. Plus, the cobblestones of Cow’s Lane make for quite the photo backdrop.

Smock Alley is the perfect place for your wedding nuptials. Our Banquet Hall is HSE licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships.

Post ceremony, why not celebrate with your guests in style before you dine with us (or elsewhere). Let your guests mingle while your photographer puts the newlyweds through their paces in our lovely surroundings.

Our unique wedding package offers a menu which includes a choice of 1 or 2 appetisers, mains, and a dessert. Each package includes banqueting tables with linen tablecloths + napkins, chivari chairs and fully licensed bar until 11pm. This also includes the use of the Banquet Hall lighting and PA equipment.

Max capacity of the Banquet Hall is 250 for a standing reception. And up to 150 people for a seated dinner. Minimum number required is 50.
