Weddings at Newpark Hotel

Set amid thirty acres of parkland and with award-winning landscaped gardens, the Newpark Hotel provides an opulent and perfect backdrop for your wedding day. The first wedding reception was held at the Newpark Hotel in 1966 and therefore our staff are very experienced in looking after and assisting you on your most important day.

Whether you’re hosting an intimate wedding with your closest friends and family, or opting for a lavish event, the Newpark Hotel would be happy to help your celebrate. The Dunmore Suite can cater for up to 160 guests and the Glendine Suite can cater for up to 130 guests for the main wedding meal. For weddings over 180 guests, both suites combine to offer you the perfect setting for a larger wedding party. Within each banqueting suite is a bar area where your guests can relax in comfort and privacy.

Step out of your wedding car to the toast of your guests. Enjoy a drinks reception in our opulent lobby, and bask in the celebratory cheer. In the summer months, chilled fruit punch and ice cream cones will be served to your guests, as well as a selection of gourmet canapes. In the winter time, mulled wine and hot chocolate will take their place; though have proven equally delicious.

In each ballroom, guests are guided by a personalised table plan. As they find their seats, sunlight will sparkle off the chandeliers bedecking the ceilings. Opulent drapes frame the floor to ceiling windows, and elegant floral candelabras rest upon each table. These tables are adorned with crisp white linens, matched perfectly by the luxury chair covers. A golden sash graces each seat, which every guest is welcomed too by a personalised souvenir menu. Classical silverware rests at each table setting, awaiting the sumptuous five course meal every guest is served.

The Newpark Hotel is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies. The hotel’s civil licence means that you can both marry and celebrate your wedding reception in its historic surroundings. Should you wish to get married by civil ceremony at the Newpark Hotel you should first contact the Registrar of Civil Marriages regarding availability of dates and intended arrangements.
